FAQs

Don’t see your question answered? Get in touch with us, we’d love to answer your question.

  • What do you do for kids?

This Easter your kids will have a BLAST at the Great Easter Bash from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, April 8. Then on Sunday they’ll enjoy learning about Jesus in our fun and creative environments. We promise your kids will be begging you to come back!

We have three distinct safe and age-appropriate environments for kids up through 5th grade. DiscoveryZone (DZ), is a safe, loving, and fun-filled preschool ministry for infants through 4-year-olds. KidZone (KZ) is our exciting, fully produced experience for all Kindergarten through 3rd grade kids with interactive praise and creative sets, Bible stories that come to life, engaging media, and hands-on small group activities. Zone45 (Z45) is our 4th and 5th grade ministry where our older elementary-age kids can learn about the love of Jesus in their own space.

  • What should I wear?

Most people dress casually, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable. If you’re excited about wearing an Easter dress or breaking out those seersucker pants, do it! We promise you won’t be the only one.

  • How long is the service?

Our Sunday morning gatherings last about an hour. We start by singing two or three songs, then you’ll hear from a member of our teaching team. Want to test drive a sermon? Check out this lesson answering commong questions about heaven.

  • Can I attend if I'm _______?

Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: divorced, single parent, broke, an addict, a skeptic, etc. Everyone is welcome at Mt Vernon. So come as you are, and we’ll see you this Easter!
