You’re invited to celebrate Christmas with us!

On Christmas Eve (Saturday, Dec. 24), Mt Vernon Church will have THREE special Christmas Eve services at 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 PM. It will be a 40-minute time for the whole family filled with music, fun, and celebrating the birth of Jesus with a down-home vibe. We’ll also have nursery care available for those under the age of 2.

You’re also invited to be our guest at 9:00 or 10:30 AM on any Sunday at Mt Vernon Church (200 Mt Vernon Rd, Columbus, MS, 39702) or connect with our online worship experience on Facebook or Livestream.

FAQs

Don’t see your question answered? Get in touch with us, we’d love to answer your question.

  • What do you do for kids?

Each Sunday we have safe, age-appropriate environments for every age up through 5th grade. DiscoveryZone (DZ), is a safe, loving, and fun-filled preschool ministry for infants through 5-year-olds. KidZone (KZ) is our exciting, fully produced experience for all Kindergarten through 3rd grade kids with interactive praise, creative set designs, Bible stories that come to life, engaging media, and hands-on small group activities. Zone45 (Z45) is our 4th and 5th grade ministry where our older elementary-age kids can learn about the love of Jesus in their own space.

  • How long is the service?

Our Sunday morning gatherings last about an hour. We start by singing 2-3 songs, then we hear from a member of our teaching team. To get a feel for our teaching style, check out the current series. At the end of the gathering, we usually close with a song and many of our attenders give tithes and offerings to financially support the mission of the church. We have special gift bags for all guests at our Welcome Center.

  • What should I wear?

Most people dress casually, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable. If you’re excited about wearing a new Christmas dress or breaking out those corduroy pants, do it! We promise you won’t be the only one.

  • Can I attend if I'm _____?

Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: divorced, single parent, broke, an addict, a skeptic, a grinch, etc. Everyone is welcome at Mt Vernon. So come as you are, and we’ll see you this Christmas!
